Erin Lewis

Founder · SPMU Educator

EML Training Academy was founded by Erin, whose journey in the beauty and SPMU industry is built on real experience, hard work and genuine passion for the craft.

Erin began her career as an apprentice, learning the foundations of the industry from the ground up. With determination and a clear vision for her future, she went on to become self-employed in 2020, building her own loyal client base and a strong reputation for quality treatments and results.

As demand grew, Erin opened her own salon in 2021, offering a range of services including nails, lashes and SPMU. The salon quickly became known for its high standards, attention to detail and welcoming environment. But for Erin, growth never stops. Her passion naturally evolved into education, wanting to raise standards within the industry and support others in building successful, sustainable careers.

From that vision, EML Training Academy was created in 2022. What started as a small step into education has grown into a recognised training academy dedicated to delivering in-depth, supportive and high-quality courses designed to give students both skill and confidence.

Today, EML continues to expand. We are proud to be growing our team and are now welcoming new educators who share our values, standards and commitment. Together, we are building a community that empowers beauty professionals to thrive.

Fern Taylor

Nail Educator

I started in the industry as an apprentice, learning the basics properly and building my confidence through hands-on experience. That foundation shaped how I work now, which is focusing on technique, standards and doing things the right way.

In 2022, I left my employed position to become self-employed. It was a big decision, but Erin encouraged me to commit to it fully rather than easing in part-time. Going straight into full-time self-employment pushed me to grow quickly, and I built my own client base, managed my business and refined my skills every day.

Since then I've developed my style, strengthened my technical ability and built a loyal clientele, and felt it was time to start in nail education.

I now offer beginner nail courses for those starting their journey, as well as nail art courses for techs who want to improve their design work and confidence. My aim is to teach properly, keep standards high and give students real support as they build their careers.

I've built this course carefully, drawing from my own experience in the industry and everything I've learned along the way. With Erin's guidance and support, we've structured it to make sure it's thorough, practical and genuinely prepares you for working with real clients, not just passing a course.

I'm looking forward to helping the next generation of nail techs start and grow the right way.

Do I need any experience to join a beginner SPMU course?

Not at all. Our beginner brow and lip blush courses are designed for complete beginners, so you don't need any previous beauty or SPMU experience.

Are your courses accredited?

Yes, our SPMU courses are fully CPD accredited and you'll receive a CPD accredited certificate on completion.

Will I practise on real people?

Yes. Our beginner SPMU courses include 3 live model treatments with full guidance from Erin, and the SPMU Masterclass includes 2 models.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. For beginner SPMU courses you can secure your place with a £500 deposit, or choose 0% interest finance over up to 10 months from £250 per month (subject to approval). The SPMU Masterclass offers Pay in 4 at 0% interest. We're always happy to talk about a plan that suits you.

What happens after the course?

You're never on your own. You'll get lifetime support and mentorship, plus access to our private student support group where you can keep asking questions and getting advice.

I'm already qualified but not confident. Which course is right for me?

Our masterclasses are made for you. If you have a basic understanding of the treatment, the SPMU Masterclass or the online Lip Blush Masterclass will help you level up. If you haven't practised since training and feel unconfident in every area, a beginner course may be better. Send us an enquiry and we'll help you decide.

Where are you based?

Our academy is in Bromborough on the Wirral, an easy journey from Liverpool, Chester, Cheshire and North Wales. Our online Lip Blush Masterclass can be taken from anywhere.
